Adwigmine 100 ml ( Neostigmine )

Adwigmine 100 ml ( Neostigmine ) 1 ml Contains:

Neostigmine methylsulfate: 0.5 mg (equivalent to 0.334 mg Neostigmine).

Properties:
 Neostigmine is an anticholinesterase drug that is used for most commonly to stimulate muscle control.
 Its action is to competitively inhibit acetylcholine (ACh) from attaching to acetylcholinestase (AChE) binding sites, where ACh is normally broken down by hydrolysis. This allows ACh to persist for a longer period of time enhancing transmission across neuromuscular junctions.
 Activates the urinary tract movements
 Eliminates the retained ingesta in the stomach and intestine in short time
 Fast high efficacy with long lasting characteristics
 Safe

Indications:
In cattle, horses, sheep and swine.
1. Rumen atony.
2. Initiating peristalsis for bowel.
3. Emptying the urinary bladder.
4. Stimulating the skeletal muscle contraction.
5. Treatment of myasthenia gravis in dogs.

Dosage Administration:
Cattle, sheep, horses and pigs:
1 ml/10 kg B.Wt. by slow I.V. injection.
Dog & cats:
1 ml/5 kg B.Wt by S.C. or I.M. or I.V. injection.
These doses may be repeated as indicated.

Contra Indications:
Adwigmine 100 ml ( Neostigmine ) is contraindicated in animals with peritonitis, mechanical, intestinal or urinary obstructions, hypersensitive to this drug, late pregnancy or animals treated with cholinesterase inhibitors.

Precautions Warnings:
 Not for use in animals producing milk.

Side Effects:
Bowel cramps and diarrhea may occur.
