Each 100 mL contains:

Trichlormetiazide ………………………………………… ….. 1.0 g

Dexamethasone (acetate) …………………. 0.05 g

Vehicle qsp ………………………………………… ..100.0 mL

ACTION:

Atrichlormethiazide exerts its diuretic effect on the renal tubules, reducing Na + and Cl- reabsorption, thereby increasing the excretion of Sodium Chloride and Water and decreasing the excretion of Potassium and Bicarbonate. It is through this mechanism of action that trichlormethiazide acts by reducing the accumulation of fluid in tissues (edema).

Dexamethasone acetate is a synthetic analogue of prednisolone, but with a greater anti-inflammatory therapeutic action and diverse metabolic effects.

The combination of trichlormethiazide and dexamethasone reduces the physiological edema of calving, mammary gland of dairy cows, sows, goats and sheep.

DOSAGE AND METHOD OF USE:

Cattle, Pigs, Goats and Sheep:

Apply from 10 to 20 mL, intramuscularly, according to the severity of the case, and the dose may be repeated, as directed by the veterinarian. Response to treatment is usually obtained 24 to 48 hours after treatment initiation.
